Riverside United JFC was formed on January 23rd 2006 by 15 boys and their parents with the aim to provide football for a group of children playing 11 A-side at Under 11 age group the following season (2006/07).

The name of the Club and the Club Colours of Blue,Red and White was chosen by a majority vote conducted between the boys present.

Word spread of our new Club and by April of 2006 we had submitted applications into respective leagues for Under 8's,Under 9's and Under 11's for the season 2006/07 .

Since the completion of our first full season the Club has now achieved FA Charter Standard (2007) and this season(2011-12)  fields eight teams in six different age groups.

A competition was staged and entered by boys in all teams to design our Club Badge which will now be embroidered onto all new kit and clubwear.The winner was Harry Durrant who's fantasic design  was chosen unanimously by the Club Committee.
